Route 1 — Hindu Marriage Act 1955 (3–7 Days, Same-Day Ceremony)

This is the route most Hindu, Sikh, Jain and Buddhist couples use, because the ceremony and the certificate can happen the very same day.

  1. Free consultation & document check — Call/WhatsApp 8506989134. We verify age proof, ID, address proof, photos and witness details free of cost. Full documents checklist →
  2. Arya Samaj ceremony — The complete Vedic ceremony (havan, saptapadi, sindoor, mangalsutra) takes 1–2 hours. The Arya Samaj Marriage Certificate is issued the same day.
  3. e-District application — Our team files the marriage registration application online on the Delhi e-District portal (edistrict.delhigovt.nic.in).
  4. SDM hearing — Both partners appear with 2 witnesses at the SDM office of the relevant district on the appointed date. We accompany and guide you.
  5. Government certificate — The SDM-issued, online-verifiable Marriage Certificate is ready in 3–7 working days. Certificate uses & validity →

Route 2 — Special Marriage Act 1954 (30 Days + 1, Any Religion)

The religion-neutral route — for inter-religion couples who do not wish to convert, or any couple preferring a civil marriage.

  1. Consultation & eligibility check — groom 21+, bride 18+, one partner resident 30+ days in the filing district.
  2. Notice of Intended Marriage (Form II) — drafted by our advocate and filed at the Marriage Officer's office.
  3. 30-day public notice — displayed at the office. This period is statutory; the Delhi High Court has held it cannot be waived.
  4. Objection window — objections (rare) are inquired into; baseless objections are dismissed.
  5. Solemnization — on/after the 31st day, both partners sign declarations before the Marriage Officer with 3 witnesses.
  6. Certificate — the SMA Marriage Certificate is issued, valid across India and abroad.

What Can Go Wrong (and How We Prevent It)

  • Name mismatch across Aadhaar, 10th certificate and passport — fixed with an affidavit before filing.
  • Weak witnesses — witnesses without proper ID or unwilling to appear; we brief them, or arrange witnesses for genuine couples.
  • Wrong jurisdiction — filing at an SDM where neither partner resides leads to rejection; we map your address to the correct office. Find your SDM office →
  • Missing affidavits — single-status declarations must be properly notarized; our advocate drafts them in-house.
